[Married] Desiree & Chad | JW Marriott Ko'Olina O'ahu Wedding

Pastor Bert recounted their written list of beloved attributes.  "She says he is strong.  He says she is magnetic."  When paired together the two radiate a brilliant chemistry.  Chad boasts a great sense of humor that keeps Desiree bent over in laughter.  She beams her gorgeous smile and keeps his gaze.  With a beautiful and laid back catholic ceremony  in the warm light of the Resurrection of the Lord Church in Waipahu, the two made their heartfelt commitment to each other with the love and support of their closest friends and family.  Sealed with the blessings and prayers of their attendees and the Lord, Desiree & Chad were ecstatic to become husband and wife.  *Fist pump*.  Guests sipped on signature cocktails and mingled with the Bride & Groom on the sun kissed grounds of the Lurline Room at the JW Marriott Ihilani at Ko'Olina.  Designed with luxe florals and handcrafted by Shilhi of Passion roots, the celebration was dripping in personal details against the warm, mercury glass candlelight.   Wrapped in each other's arms, Desiree & Chad snuck away to enjoy a dreamy west side sunset before getting the party roaring--and with a traditional Lion dance and Bonzai toasts, I mean literally mean roarin'! "It's a little warm in here...so please excuse me if I start sweating...from my eyeballs."    Friends and family erupted in laughter as Chad began the couple's evening thank you speech, poking at the possibility of tears, the perfect example of their silly personalities together.  From the planning orchestrated by Karine of Seasons of Life events (Desiree's employer) to the take-a-way homemade jam gifts, Desiree & Chad gave a multitude of thanks of their beautiful evening which was a true labor of love.  Taking care of her and helping to "calm her nerves", he may be the source of her strength, but for a few moments during toasts, he looked to her for strength, his rock.

Des & Chad.  WHOA.  You guys are the dream team.  It sounds ridiculous and cheeseball, but your honest, real love and respect for one another simply shines.  You both draw people in with your warm and generous personalities, and your laughter is freakin' contagious.  Can't you just stay my Bride & Groom for FOREVER?  How do we make that happen?  I wish you nothing but the best in Japan.

The pair opted for a "first look" and decided to see each other before the ceremony in a private corner of the church.  I love when this happens, it tends to help calm pre-wedding jitters, provide and opportunity to really be able to enjoy the moment (and get some fab photo and video!) and most importantly, allows a minute for the pair to simply take the experience all in, just the two of them.

Big big ups to Marissa for styling up these heels like this.  I have to give credit where credit is due, and I won't lie, Marissa is the one who put these here and I crept up on her shot.  I am always so thankful to not only have an incredibly talented photographer who I love and trust with me for weddings, but a Best Friend to kick it with when my feet start to ache.  For this, I am so so thankful for Marissa.
