EAGER TO DIVE INTO SHOOTING FILM BUT CLUELESS WHERE TO START?
I FEEL YA.
Imagine someone pairing old school technical knowledge with current photography experience and breaking it down for you all in one day.
Rated at whatttt? Metering for the shadows? Come to think of it, what IS a meter? Why are my photos so dark/muddy/all black? HELP! I think my camera is broke! You know all those seemingly ridiculous questions you were too afraid to utter? I've asked them -- all of them -- and have ruined enough rolls of film in the learning process. I know what it feels like to be desperate to create the colors and images you see in your dreams but lost and quite frankly intimidated by all the lingo and jargon in the "fine art" film world. I got 'chu. Overwhelm kept me sitting on the sidelines admiring from afar when finally I took the leap and taught myself the medium of my dreams. Over 6 years later I've curated enough camera manual/google knowledge to decode the seemingly daunting art of shooting film and am beyond passionate about sharing the details, beauty, perks and straight up horror stories of the medium that made me fall head over heels in love with photography all over again.
